Cloud Castles: Deck-building in the sky
CLOUD CASTLES is a competitive deck-building and territory capture game in which players attempt to take over a the most territory on a small island, in order to be named regent. Players each own a flying castle that they use to ferry their citizens around and establish new frontier settlements. Each settlement expands a player’s “influence” over the land. Players use resources to buy cards that represent extensions to their flying castle. Over time, decks grow and become more cluttered, but more capable of performing actions that will give the player an advantage over their opponents. It’s a race to take over the most territory and dominate the whole Island.
Cloud Castles is a deck-building + territory acquisition game for 2-3 players designed Fall 2012 for the NYU Game Center's Game Design 1 final project.
